“Fine, I’ll tell you,” Dakota acted as if Martha insisted on telling her the news, “you know the new guy? Dylan?”
“Well, he’s really cute and…he kissed me last night!”
Martha put down the video game controller, “no way! Tell me everything!”
Dakota looked down on her hands in her lap,”that’s everything. He totally ignored me this morning in the bus. Acted like he doesn’t even know me.”
“What a douchebag!”
“I know, right?! Do you think my kiss was bad? I thought it was nice, it felt nice, I mean.”
“Hey, at least you got your first kiss. Nobody wants to kiss me.”
“Oh, shut up,” Dakota grabbed a pillow and slapped her best friend in the face with it.
“Oh no, you didn’t,” Martha said in a threatening voice.
“Ok, ok, that’s enough,” Dakota finally said while laughing, “you win.”
Martha looked around and saw the feathers flying all over the room, “we better clean up this mess or my mom is gonna kill me.”
“Yea, you have fun with that, I gotta run,” she kissed her friend on the cheek and walked towards the front door.
“I hate you.”
“I love you too. See you tomorrow.”
Dakota was walking from Martha’s house along the park when her phone rang. Unknown number.
“Yea..? Who’s this?”
Oh my God, oh my God, be cool.
“Hey, what’s up?”
“Not much. Look, sorry I ignored you this morning. Do you wanna hang out now?”
“Now? Yea, I can do that. Where are you?”
“Meet me at the park in half hour?”
He better has some answers for me.
“Hey beautiful,” he purred once he saw her, “how was your day?”
“Alright, how was yours?”
“It’s better now that I’m with you.”
Dylan knew exactly what to say to keep Dakota from asking uncomfortable questions. He simply didn’t want the other girls at school to know he is dating. He liked to keep his options open.
They spent the day rollerblading in the park.
The next day they went to the movies.
Other days they just drove around the town in Dakota’s Audi, she got for her seventeenth birthday. She even let him drive.
Months went by and Dakota’s and Dylan’s relationship was growing. On the other hand, the relationship between her and her friend Martha was suffering. They used to hang out almost every day after school, but Dakota’s time was now dedicated to her boyfriend.
“Hey, girlfriend,” Dakota said cheerfully when she was walking to Martha’s house, “whatcha doing?”
“Oh, you know where I live? I’m shocked.”
“Sorry, I know I’ve been neglecting you lately.”
“You sure have. So do you wanna watch a movie or something?”
“I can’t tonight. It’s mine and Dylan’s six months anniversary.”
“Oh…So why are you here then?”
“I wanted to tell you first. I’m gonna do it tonight. I will sleep with him, it will be my gift for him.” she said excitedly, “What do you think?”
“I think it’s stupid. Are you even ready for this?”
“Yes, I’m ready, Martha. What are you, my mother?”
Martha scoffed, “do whatever you want, Dakota. Just don’t come crying to me when he gets what he wanted and leaves you.”
Dakota’s parents were at Hailey’s fundraiser party which meant they will be out all night.
Hailey was a mayor now. She was hosting more fundraiser parties than ever before and they were all in big venues in the city. Dakota was usually forced to go and play the perfect family but this time she got out of it.
She was waiting in front of the house for Dylan to arrive.
There he is…
A/N: As much as I love all characters from the beginning of my story, I recommend you start with generation four here since I didn’t have enough photos and experience with writing when I started this story. I plan on updating these chapters eventually 🙂
