“I’m so sorry I missed the birth of Garry,” Becca apologized to Barbara when she went to visit her and meet her new nephew couple days after her return, “here is a little something. Trust me, you will need it.” She handed her a box with four different mini bottles of wine.
“Oh, you didn’t have to,” Barbara said as she was opening it and burst out laughing when she saw what’s inside.
“Where is the little peanut?”
“Hey little guy,” Becca said and picked the newborn up to her face to cuddle him, “I’m your auntie Becca.”
Carissa was growing up so fast, she couldn’t even believe she was also this tiny once.
“He’s cute, isn’t he?” Barbara walked into the room.
“How is everything changing so fast?” Becca suddenly became nostalgic, “it seems like yesterday we were just kids ourselves and look at us now. You’re married with a baby, Barney has a two year old and a wife too. Carissa is starting kindergarten next year for Christ’s sake.”
Barbara and Luke got married in a local church. They had a beautiful ceremony full of tears of joy. Even Adam teared up. His oldest daughter was getting married, that’s hard on every father.
Their honeymoon was in Roaring Heights, city full of art galleries and restaurants. Perfect for two artists like themselves. They didn’t forget to relax on the beach and make some time for honeymoon activities.
Nine months later, Garry was born. Call that a successful honeymoon.
