Claire felt terrible for revealing Becca’s secret to her boyfriend so she invited her over for dinner at hers and Sam’s house to apologize.
“Look, I’m sorry I told Sam. I didn’t know he’ll go and spill everything to Dale,”
“Really? What did you think he will do, Claire? They’re best friends!” Becca was giving her new friend a hard time.
“I don’t know, just not tell, I guess.” she threw her arms in the air.
Becca couldn’t keep a straight face anymore and burst out laughing. “It’s ok Claire. You, not being able to keep your mouth shut, actually made things a lot easier this time. But next time, when I tell you something personal, please let me handle it.”
“I promise,” she smiled.
Dale and Becca were spending every free second together because they knew they will have to part ways soon.
They decided to try a long distance relationship for a while and if things go well, Becca and Carissa will move to Sierra for good. It will be hard to leave her family behind but she loved Dale so much and there was also more opportunity in her career here.
“Hello, miss Owen?”
“Hi, this Melissa from the production. I’m just giving you a call to let you know the filming is over. We have all the material for the movie that we need so we are ending it earlier than we originally thought. That’s great news, isn’t it? You can return home now.”
“Oh, ok. Thank you, Melissa.”
“Have a safe trip home. Bye.”
Becca packed her stuff the next day and stopped by at Dale’s sister’s house to say goodbye. She was devastated that she has to leave her newly found love early but she also couldn’t wait to see her little girl again.
“I’ll miss you so much,” Dale said, pulling her close to him.
“I’ll miss you too.”
“Call me the second you land, ok? And I will visit as soon as I get my vacation approved.”
“Promise?” she looked up to meet his eyes. She was worried he will forget her.
“I promise, I can’t imagine life without you.”
