Becca was a very loving and, to everyone’s surprise, selfless mother. She would do anything for her little baby girl. but she still needed a lot of help from the rest of the family. Not only because she was still a high school student but also because she was attending as many castings as possible.
Adeline was the one helping the most. She loved taking care of her first grand daughter. She almost forgot how beautiful having a baby in the house is.
Why do they have to grow up so fast, she often thought sadly.
Elena was another great help to Becca. It was pretty obvious her biological clock was ticking. Loud.
She couldn’t wait to have a baby with Barney. Thinking about their journey always brought a smile to her face…
“What are you thinking about?” Her husband’s voice brought her back to presence.
“Oh, nothing” she whispered.
“Look how precious she is,” Elena continued, slightly lifting up Carissa so Barney can take a better look at the sleeping newborn. She fell asleep in her arms during her daydreaming.
“She is, isn’t she,” Barney agreed quietly, “do you want to start working on her little cousin?”
“Really?” her eyes widened with excitement, “do you think we are ready for this?”
Elena carefully put Carissa in her crib.
Barney raised his eyebrows, “do you think Becca was ready? And look at her now. Having a child changes you. You grow up. You have to.”
And she did. Just recently Becca had to make the hardest decision when she received an offer to star in a movie. That itself is an amazing news. After all the auditions she went through, someone finally noticed her and wanted her for their movie. The bad news is that the it will be filmed in Sierra. City in a desert, 14 hours drive from home and she would be gone for two months.
When the offer first came, she instantly rejected it in her head and it was Adeline who convinced her to go, follow her dream and provide an amazing life for Carissa.
“Honey, you worked hard for this. This might be your only chance to make your dream a reality. Don’t worry about Carissa, you know she will be in good hands. Me and dad are more than happy to take her for two months. We will facetime everyday, I promise.”
Becca eventually admitted that her mother was right. A chance like this might never come again and she could finally move out from her parents house and for the first time in her life stand on her feet…
