All the kids in the Owen household were growing up fast. A little too fast to Adeline’s taste. When she looked at her six children she was overwhelmed with love. Her dream came true and she had a big family and a loving husband who was on her side since they were just children who were left in the world without any parents or relatives to take care of them. And now they were growing older together and their babies are not babies anymore…
Barney is getting ready for college. He wants to be a doctor and there is no doubt in her mind that he will become one. He always cared about other people so much and that’s a quality every doctor should have. He is still very much in love with Elena. They reminded her of Adam and herself. How lucky were they to find their soulmate in such young age.
Having four teenagers in a house wasn’t always easy but she knew that the biggest troublemaker of all of her kids is her youngest daughter Becca. She was getting in trouble every since she started kindergarten. Becca and Brendon were twins. Adeline always wondered how come she had two sets of twins when after her parents died in a car accident there were no relatives left to take care of her. Perhaps her grandparents came from twins. They say it runs in families and it skips a generation. One day she would like to find out more about her ancestors..
“Haaappyyyy Birthdaaaayyyy” everyone yelled at once when Brandon was blowing out the candles on his birthday cake.
“Welcome to adulthood, baby” Elena said when they were slow dancing to a song she requested from the DJ. They used to listen to this song in his old red truck and made out while parked by the lake. It seems like it was ages ago. Now they both go to college and plan on moving in together soon.
She was planning this surprise party for months with Barbara’s and Beata’s help. She made sure that the youngest twins didn’t know about it because Becca can not keep her mouth shut when she gets excited about something.
Everyone was having so much fun, even Benjamin and Ruby. These two became pretty close during the time Ben was tutoring her.
Another talk about birds and bees, Adam thought while watching them from the bar where he was sitting, sipping his beer. Now that he wasn’t actively playing football anymore he could enjoy one here and there.
“Thank you for the party El, it was great.” Barney said later that night when they were laying in Elena’s bed.
Her parents finally gave in and let her take the guest room as her own since they never had any over night guests anyway. That gave them some privacy. The Owen’s house was always full of teenagers and kids. Barb and Luke were over almost every day after school painting or just playing video games and the youngest kids had play dates all the time.
“Did you really have no idea?” she asked.
“No idea, I swear!” he tried to sound as convincing as he could but he was never a good liar.
“I knew it! Who was it? Barb?!”
“It was Becca, I guess she overheard you and my mom talking about it”
“Well, now you lost the last gift you were going to get tonight” she said, pretending to be mad.
He knew exactly what she is talking about. He sat up, laid her down and started kissing her passionately. “I don’t think so, young lady.”
A/N: As much as I love all characters from the beginning of my story, I recommend you start with generation four here since I didn’t have enough photos and experience with writing when I started this story. I plan on updating these chapters eventually 🙂
